(Photo by Bruce Brierley) July 11, 2025 - Heavy smoke from Canadian wildfires descended on the Red River Valley on Friday morning. The smoke prompted the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to issue a rare Purple air quality index alert for NW Minnesota.
